HL7 to CDA Device Home
This is a prototype device! Do not use this device in production. Requires Connexion 13.2.7.
The HL7 to CDA package contains two distinct devices:
Standard HL7 to CDA device
This device hides all the complexity of converting HL7 to CDA and allows variation of the OIDs and CDA Type only. This devices uses pre-built logic for converting ORU Narrative, ORU Lab, and MDM messages. In order to provide custom conversion logic or provide more flexibility when determining OID, CDA Type, Document ID, Set ID etc. you must use the Advanced HL7 to CDA device.
Advanced HL7 to CDA device
This is a Custom Code Device which has been pre-populated with boilerplate code to let you easily provide custom logic for OIDs, Document and Set IDs, custom templates and structured content.
Both devices are contained in the same M*Modal Catalyst HL7 to CDA package available on the Connexion Nuget server.
Installing the HL7 to CDA Package
Launch the Connexion client application, open the package manager, and navigate to the Connexion Devices category. Since this is currently a prototype device, you must click on the ''Show All Package Versions" button for the Catalyst package to show up. Once the package is displayed, click the corresponding Install button and then close the package manager once installation is complete. If you are replacing a previous version of this device, both the Connexion server and the client application will be restarted.
Creating an HL7 to CDA Channel
Once installed, create a new channel and add either the standard or advanced version of the HL7 to CDA device.
