Management Application Overview

If you are familiar with the Connexion UI, the Gateway UI will be very familiar. This page outlines the differences between the Connexion UI and the Gateway UI. You can review a more detailed review of the UI here.

The Gateway Management UI is very similar to the Connexion UI, with a different grouping/hierarchy. It has a different navigation bar for Remote Integrator selection, as well some additional connection information.

Compared to the Connexion UI, there are two additional components - the information bar (blue) and the context bar.

The information bar is used to:

  • Select a remote integrator (the drop down tree).

  • View connection status for each Remote Integrator component (RA, UA, UB).

  • View the currently connected Gateway.

  • View Remote Agent events.

  • Access the Remote Agent context menu.

The connection status for the RA (Remote Agent), UA (Updater A), and UB (Updater B) are displayed in green when connected and yellow when disconnected. The RA will be displayed in red if there is an active connection, but the message database is not available. You can hover over each block to view more information. Note that each component can connect to a different Gateway.

The currently connected Gateway is displayed with additional information available when hovered.

Remote Agent event counts are displayed in the events icon (if events exist). You can click on this icon to view events for this RI.

The Remote Integrator context menu exposes many operations available on the selected RI.

The Remote Integrator context bar switches the bottom pane of the UI to view:

  • Device Configuration: View and edit the currently select device configuration.

  • Remote Agent File System: View and interact with files and directories within the sandbox. Some other specific paths may also be visible.

  • Remote Integrator Configuration & Status: View and edit the currently selected Remote Integrator, as well as view some status information.

  • Remote Integrator Packages: View and deploy packages to the selected Remote Integrator.
