Cloud Databases and Storage
Cloud Databases and Storage
Connexion v26 supports managed cloud databases and object storage, with improvements to authentication and transfer reliability.
Managed cloud databases
Connexion supports managed PostgreSQL databases on Amazon RDS, Azure Database for PostgreSQL and Google Cloud SQL, with AWS IAM, Microsoft Entra ID and Google Cloud IAM authentication respectively. Azure SQL connections also support Entra ID authentication. These options reduce reliance on permanently stored database passwords.
Large-payload storage
Large message bodies and attachments can use Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage or Azure Blob Storage in addition to repository-local storage. Object-storage targets support configurable endpoints. Google Cloud SQL is a database service; Google Cloud Storage is an object store. Large-object storage holds active message content, while Tier 2 storage archives historical partitions.
Cloud transfer reliability
Cloud transfer and authentication improvements include S3 event-key decoding, multi-record SQS handling, offset downloads, and pending-message accounting across provider restarts. S3 SSE-KMS encryption handling, Azure upload-conflict detection, and concurrent Google Cloud credential discovery have also been improved.
