Searching
The Connexion UI includes several search features. The ‘quick’ search box in the top-right area of the application performs simple searches, with the ability to select a single target channel.
Ctrl + F to set the focus to the quick search boxThis search box supports and and or keywords as well as the following:
[running]and[stopped]for channel state.[locked]for channels which are locked.~(tilde) plus a tag name to search channels with that tag (~TagName).{GlobalName}to search for channels referencing a specific global.[mc > < = X]to search for channels with a message count greater, less, or equal to X.Device Type to search for a specific device type (like HL7 Inbound, or Kafka Writer). The text should match that shown in the create/edit channel dialog.
Advanced Search UI
The advanced search UI supports two search types. The first is very similar to the quick search described above, with the ability to select and view multiple matched channels in a single results pane. The second is the ability to search device configuration.
Access the advanced search UI by selecting the search icon.
Use the same keywords as the quick search to filter channels. When the match list is displayed, you can use the ctrl and shift keys to multi-select channels. Hit the Enter key once you’ve selected the channels you want to view.
Enter to complete the selection of channelsEach selected channel will then be displayed in the results pane. In this view, the channel group and tab are displayed to the left of each channel name.
Use the X icon to clear any results from the search pane.
Device Configuration Search
The second advanced search feature is to search for a specific device configuration. Some devices specifically publish keywords to be used as part of the quick search feature. For example, the HL7 Inbound device publishes the port it’s listening on. Other parts of the device configuration, however, are not exposed to the quick search.
To perform a ‘deep’ search which compares the search text against each device configuration, use the Search Device Configuration option.
The device configuration search is quite a heavy operation, so you can filter by group and/or device type (plugin) to filter what is searched.
Any hits are automatically displayed in the search results pane, with the matched device(s) showing a green check mark.
Channels can be edited and saved while displayed in the results pane.
