Groups & Tabs
Connexion (and Gateway) organize channels into a 2-level hierarchy. The first level is called Groups, and usually represents a customer or product. Within each group are Tabs, and channels are nested within tabs.
A number of features are tied to groups and/or tabs. For example, a Group is tied to a specific message database, and all channels within that group will store messages within the same database. A group or tab can be assigned to a specific Execution Group, and all member channels will be hosted within a specific process.
In the management application, there is a groups UI which can be used to manage groups.
To set the active group, use the group drop-down in the header (ctrl + G). Note that this drop-down is hidden if there is only one group.
Within each group are one or more tabs. Each group starts with a Default tab, which can be renamed. Create and rename tabs using the tab context menu, or show the Tab Management Dialog by selecting the Manage Tabs option.
